About the Journal
Journal of Geospatial Science and Analytics (JGSA) is a journal that combines data science with geographic data (spatial data) to identify, analyze, and visualize patterns or phenomena that occur on the earth's surface. In this journal, data that has location information (geographic coordinates) is used to solve various complex problems in many sectors, such as the environment, health and disease, transportation, urban planning, disaster mitigation, and others.
Scope:
Subjects include research articles that have:
- Spatial Analysis techniques that utilize geographic data to analyze spatial relationships, distributions, or patterns in data, for example in detecting spatial clusters or patterns of change in certain areas.
- Applying statistical analysis methods, machine learning or artificial intelligent algorithms to geospatial data to create predictive models, classifications, or pattern detection.
- Location reference data that can come from satellite imagery, GPS, remote sensing, observation and other technologies.
- Presentation of data in the form of maps or other visualizations to facilitate interpretation and location-based decision making.
JGSA is dedicated to publishing research that employs statistical spatial modeling methods or harnesses machine learning and artificial intelligence across diverse fields.
