Journal History

The Journal of Geothermal Research and Volcanology (JoGRaV) was officially established in 2026 as a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to advancing research in geothermal sciences and volcanology. The journal published its inaugural issue in March 2026, marking the beginning of its role as an interdisciplinary platform for scientific exchange in geothermal and volcanic studies.

Since its establishment, JoGRaV has adopted a biannual publication schedule, releasing issues regularly in March and September each year. This frequency ensures consistent publication of original research articles, review papers, short communications, and case studies related to geothermal resources, volcanic processes, tectonic interactions, and environmental impacts.

To ensure fairness, objectivity, and high scientific standards, JoGRaV applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the evaluation stage. This policy supports unbiased assessment of manuscripts based solely on scientific quality, originality, and contribution to the field.
